Our commitment
Staff-Recruit Canada wants everyone to be able to find jobs, apply for roles and contact us, including people who use assistive technologies. We design and test this website with the aim of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML, a logical heading structure and a "skip to main content" link
- Full keyboard access to navigation, menus, filters and forms, with visible focus indicators
- Form fields with descriptive labels, and error messages linked to the relevant field and summarized at the top of the form
- Text and interface colours chosen for sufficient contrast, with information never conveyed by colour alone
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Responsive layouts that work with zoom and on small screens
- Support for the "reduced motion" setting in your operating system
- Job search and forms that work without JavaScript
