Our process
How recruitment with us works
Clear steps for employers and job seekers, so everyone knows what to expect and what happens next.
For employers
From staffing request to successful hire
Six steps, each with a clear owner and output. Timelines depend on the role and the market, and we'll give you a realistic estimate at the start.
Submit a staffing request
Tell us about the role, location, employment type and timing using our short online form.
Discuss the role and requirements
A recruiter confirms responsibilities, must-have qualifications, compensation and the selection process, and agrees terms with you in writing.
Source and assess candidates
We search, approach and screen candidates against the criteria we agreed.
Review the shortlist
You receive concise profiles of candidates who meet your requirements and have agreed to be put forward for the role.
Interview and select
We coordinate interviews, gather feedback from both sides and support the offer.
Complete hiring and onboarding
We help with the agreed hiring steps and check in after the start date.
For job seekers
From application to next steps
Not every application leads to an interview, because employers make the final decisions. But you will always know how the process works.
Explore relevant vacancies
Search current jobs by keyword, location, employment type and industry.
Review the requirements
Read the full job description, including the essential qualifications and working arrangements.
Apply through the stated process
Submit your application and resume using the form on the job page, or send us your resume for future roles.
Take part in screening if selected
If your background matches, a recruiter may contact you for a conversation about the role and your goals.
Hear about next steps
Candidates who are being considered are kept informed. Your details go to an employer only for roles you agree to.
Being shortlisted is not guaranteed. We review applications against each role's requirements. If you're not selected for one role, we can still consider you for others, provided you've agreed to us keeping your resume on file.
Questions about the process
How do I start working with Staff-Recruit Canada?
Submit a staffing request with the basic details of the role. A recruiter will follow up to discuss the position, your timeline and the service that suits it best. Fees and terms are agreed in writing before any search begins.
How long does it take to fill a role?
It depends on the role, the location, the compensation and how available suitable candidates are. We'll give you a realistic estimate after the intake conversation and keep you updated on progress. We won't promise a timeline we can't support.
Which hiring arrangements do you support?
We support permanent (direct-hire) recruitment, temporary staffing, contract staffing and executive search. If you're unsure which model fits, we can help you compare the options.
Do your job postings follow provincial posting rules?
We prepare job postings with the applicable provincial requirements in mind. For example, Ontario employers with 25 or more employees must include compensation information, an AI-use disclosure and a vacancy statement in publicly advertised job postings. You remain responsible for confirming that the information you give us is accurate.
What file formats can I use for my resume?
You can upload your resume as a PDF or Microsoft Word (.docx) file up to the size limit shown on the form. Please don't upload files that contain passwords, macros or unrelated documents.
