Our process

From staffing request to start date

Every assignment follows a clear sequence, so you always know where your search stands.

  1. Submit a staffing request

Tell us about the role, location, employment type and timing using our short online form.

  2. Discuss the role and requirements

A recruiter confirms responsibilities, must-have qualifications, compensation and the selection process, and agrees terms with you in writing.

  3. Source and assess candidates

We search, approach and screen candidates against the criteria we agreed.

  4. Review the shortlist

You receive concise profiles of candidates who meet your requirements and have agreed to be put forward for the role.

  5. Interview and select

We coordinate interviews, gather feedback from both sides and support the offer.

  6. Complete hiring and onboarding

We help with the agreed hiring steps and check in after the start date.

Sourcing and screening

How we find and assess candidates

We combine several sourcing channels and assess candidates against the job-related criteria we agree with you. That keeps the process fair and focused on what the role needs.

  • Clear, inclusive job postings prepared with the applicable provincial posting rules in mind
  • Targeted outreach through job boards, professional networks and referrals
  • Resume review and structured screening conversations
  • Skills or technical assessments that you design or approve, where useful
  • Reference checks and other pre-employment checks, with the candidate's consent

Communication

What you can expect from us

  • A named recruiter as your main point of contact
  • An agreed plan covering the steps, timeline estimate and reporting rhythm
  • Regular progress updates, including when the market is challenging
  • Candidate profiles shared only after the candidate agrees to be put forward
  • Fees, guarantees (if any) and terms set out in a written agreement

Submit a staffing request

Tell us what you need. We only ask for what we need to respond. Please don't include any candidate's personal information.

For example: Payroll Administrator
Enter "Remote" if the role is fully remote
Key responsibilities, must-have qualifications and a compensation range if you know it.

A recruiter will review your request and reply by email.

Employer FAQs

How do I start working with Staff-Recruit Canada?

Submit a staffing request with the basic details of the role. A recruiter will follow up to discuss the position, your timeline and the service that suits it best. Fees and terms are agreed in writing before any search begins.

How long does it take to fill a role?

It depends on the role, the location, the compensation and how available suitable candidates are. We'll give you a realistic estimate after the intake conversation and keep you updated on progress. We won't promise a timeline we can't support.

Which hiring arrangements do you support?

We support permanent (direct-hire) recruitment, temporary staffing, contract staffing and executive search. If you're unsure which model fits, we can help you compare the options.

Do your job postings follow provincial posting rules?

We prepare job postings with the applicable provincial requirements in mind. For example, Ontario employers with 25 or more employees must include compensation information, an AI-use disclosure and a vacancy statement in publicly advertised job postings. You remain responsible for confirming that the information you give us is accurate.
